Free “HearForever” Seminars Presented by Honeywell to Promote Effective Workplace Hearing Conservation Programs

BASINGSTOKE, UK – Honeywell Safety Products will present a series of free seminars in June 2012 throughout the United Kingdom (UK) that will help safety professionals improve their Hearing Conservation Programs and prevent noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) among their workers.

The seminars, titled “HearForever®: Best Practices in Effective Hearing Conservation,” will provide practical information on hearing loss prevention, the culture of safety, and the latest research and technologies that can help enhance companies’ Hearing Conservation Programs – as well as their bottom line.

Mr Brad K Witt, Director of Hearing Conservation for Howard Leight® / Honeywell Safety Products, will present the seminars.

Designed for industrial hygienists, occupational health and safety professionals, audiologists, trainers, occupational nurses, and liability and risk management professionals, the seminars will address the following topics:

  • Basics of Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL)
  • Key Elements of an Effective Hearing Conservation Program
  • UK and EU Hearing Conservation Regulations
  • Case Studies From Successful Hearing Conservation Programs
  • Employee Motivation and Training Techniques/Resources
  • Reducing Costs for Hearing Loss

The seminars will run from 9 a.m. to noon, with registration and a complimentary breakfast starting at 8 a.m. The seminars are scheduled as follows:

  • Birmingham: Tuesday 19 June 2012, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, B40 1PP
  • Aberdeen: Thursday 21 June 2012, at the Survivex Centre, AB21 0LQ

All attendees will receive a free gift bag with training materials, literature and hearing-protection samples from Howard Leight and other Honeywell Safety Product groups. Brad Witt is Director of Hearing Conservation for Howard Leight® / Honeywell Safety Products, a leading global provider of passive and intelligent hearing protection solutions. He holds a B.S. in Communication Disorders from Brigham Young University, and an M.A. in Audiology from Northwestern University. For fourteen years, he managed a hearing conservation practice in California, providing OSHA-standard services at 175 locations.
